Jason Von

An Oregon Native, I graduated college with a B.S. degree in Management Information Systems and worked for Agilent Technologies, Inc. for the first 4 years. After 4 years in the high tech industry, I took an opportunity to pursue my passion and make a positive impact on people’s lives.
My passion is to bring out the best in people.

There is a science behind physiology and it is up to us to research the newest methods and theories and perfect those that we know work to maximize the clients highest potential. Whether it’s to get you out of pain or improve your athletic capability, we have the knowledge and the facility to make that happen. Working out is more than running, jumping and sweating… it is about periodizing a custom workout to achieve results.

I have been a trainer for over 11 years and have traveled nationally and internationally to learn from institutions and practitioners that I feel have made the biggest impacts in the industry. It is a dream come true to have a state of the art training studio to be able to execute the workout programs and to have a staff that shares the same passion to continue with their education to create the best practice training facility in the East Bay.

I was born in Washington D.C., and grew up in the metro area. Playing sports was always a passion of mine. I always loved Skate/snowboarding. Playing group sports like lacrosse took no back seat either which isn’t a surprise considering I attended high school in Annapolis MD.
I moved to the Reno NV in 2005 to pursue a more outdoor lifestyle and escape the city. I am now an outdoor enthusiast who loves all thing outdoors, especially mountain biking. I plan to enjoy this life in the same way I am now, for many years to come. Which brings me to my philosophy of training:
Good health and movement is the key to enjoying life. Incorporating fitness and healthy nutritional choices helps us to achieve our goals, enjoy our passions and compete in the sport of life. To achieve this, we must design a periodized program that caters and appeals to each client’s individual needs. We base this on sport specificity, rehabilitation, weight loss and overall need.
I look forward to the opportunity to work with individuals who are ready to make a change and enjoy the benefits a new and healthy lifestyle.

I am a certified personal trainer- CPT and Corrective Exercise Specialist- CES through
the National Association of Sports and Medicine- NASM from the Bay Area; I bring
nearly twenty years of experience in the health and wellness industry. As a lifelong
learner, I consistently seek new knowledge through NASM, as well as my colleagues
and leaders, who are certified in Poliquin and Paul Chek. I make it a core priority to stay
up to date with current research in the health and wellness industry.
I maintain a growing passion for, and belief in, each individual’s ability to improve his or
her life through fitness and nutrition. Throughout my experience, I have worked with
clients varying in a wide range of abilities, which has instilled in me the knowledge and
belief that anyone can improve their fitness level, regardless of their physical condition. I
believe that workouts should be functional and compliment your lifestyle when
we take this approach to fitness, we can learn to enjoy the journey on our road to success and
one’s own personal health. Without good health, we are very limited to what we can
experience.I enjoy staying active and healthy and have devoted my professional life to
encourage others to become active and healthy as well.
